Privacy Policy

Last Updated: 18.02.2025

42apps LLC ("us", "we", or "our") operates the Day Flow mobile application.
This Privacy Policy describes how Day Flow (hereinafter referred to as "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects user information obtained through the Day Flow mobile application (the "App"). By using our App, you understand and agree to the collection, storage, processing, and use of your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect
1.1 Personal Information
This refers to the data that you voluntarily provide to us, which identifies you personally. This includes, but is not limited to, your name and email address; it may also include other personal and preference information you provide to us.

1.2 Non-Personal Information
We may collect data in a form that does not, on its own, permit direct association with any specific individual. This includes:
  • Task names, task dates, times, and categories
  • Usage data related to app performance and analytics
  • General interaction data with the App (e.g., frequency of feature use)

1.3 Information from Third Parties
We may receive non-personal information from third-party analytics providers, such as Amplitude, Firebase, Facebook SDK, and Apphud. This data includes usage details, geographic location, and anonymized demographic information to help us improve our service.

2. Use of Collected Information
We use the collected information to provide, maintain, protect, and improve the App, develop new features, and ensure an optimal user experience.

2.1 No Server-Side Data Storage
We do not store user data on external servers. All data remains local on the user's device and is synced only with the user's connected calendars. We do not have access to or process user events on any centralized server.

2.2 Google Calendar & Apple Calendar Synchronization
Day Flow integrates with Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, and Apple Reminders to facilitate task management. Events are imported/exported locally on the user’s device without our servers storing or processing them. Synchronization happens directly between the App and the user’s calendars.

2.3 AI-Powered Smart Assistant & OpenAI API
Day Flow utilizes OpenAI’s API to process user requests. When users input tasks or instructions into the App, those requests are sent to OpenAI’s servers for processing, and responses are returned to the App. However, the App does not store these requests beyond the current session.

2.4 Local Speech Recognition
We use on-device speech recognition on both iOS and Android to transcribe voice commands. The actual audio recordings are never stored or sent to our servers—only the transcribed text request is processed by OpenAI’s API for task execution.

2.5 Subscription Management & Analytics
We use Apphud SDK to manage subscriptions and provide analytics on user purchases. Additionally, we employ Amplitude for user analytics, Firebase for crash reporting, and Facebook SDK for advertising tracking.

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure
3.1 We Do Not Sell Personal Data
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. However, we may share anonymized usage data with third-party analytics providers to improve the App’s performance and user experience.

3.2 Service Providers & Business Partners
We may work with third-party service providers for:
  • Analytics and crash reporting (Amplitude, Firebase)
  • Subscription management (Apphud)
  • Advertising tracking (Facebook SDK)

These providers do not have access to user task data, as all event storage remains local on the user's device.

4.Data Retention & Deletion
Day Flow does not store user data on external servers. All Google Calendar data remains locally on the user's device and is never processed or stored by our servers.
4.1 User Data Retention
  • Since we do not store user data, all information remains within the user’s Google account and Google Calendar.
  • We do not retain any copies of user calendar events or other personal information.
4.2 User Data Deletion
  • Users can delete their Google Calendar events directly from the Google Calendar app or through Day Flow.
  • If users wish to disconnect their Google Calendar from Day Flow, they can do so via the app settings, which will remove all permissions granted to Day Flow.
  • If users wish to revoke Day Flow's access to their Google Calendar entirely, they can do so via the Google Security Settings.
  • As we do not store any Google Calendar data on our servers, once access is revoked, we will no longer have any connection to user calendar events.

5. Security
We take user privacy seriously and ensure that all data processing happens locally on the user’s device. However, since we do not store any user data on external servers, we cannot recover lost user data if the device is reset or the app is deleted.

For best security, users should regularly back up their device to preserve their calendar data.

6. Children’s Privacy
Day Flow is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If a child under 13 provides personal data, we will delete such information immediately.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will be posted on this page, and users are encouraged to review the Privacy Policy regularly.

8. Your Consent
By using the App, you signify your acceptance of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, you should not use the App. Continued use following updates constitutes acceptance of changes.
